Team 1511- Rolling Thunder

Our Leadership Process:

Rolling Thunder's Leadership process currently is composed of 3 main sections.

The first part is a simple but extensive and anonymous survey, asking soon-to-be-leaders about their morals, skills, and ideas for improvements concerning the team. Selection from this step is anonymously chosen by a set of experienced mentors.

The second part of our leadership 'try-outs' surround being interviewed (low-pressure, of course) by a team of mentors, questioning about personal experiences, what they can bring to the team, and what they want to learn by being on the leadership team.

The third and last part of our selection process is simple-- the remaining contestants come up with a speech to present to the rest of their teammates. After this, the team gets to vote on who they think would make the best leaders. They get to chose 2 from each year (2 freshmen, 2 sophomores, 2 juniors, 2 seniors). The top two from each class gets the leadership position.

Josh Goodman

Sophomore, 2nd Year, New Student Liaison and Communication Coordinator

Blurb: Heyo. Visitors. Thanks for stopping by! I'm currently going on my second year as a member, and I am a first year team leader. I'm looking forward to a great new year and hope to do the best I can! The first time I had seen Robotics was at the Penfield Rally playing Aim High in 2006. And then I flew into highschool in 2007, and here I am, inspired from my sister. Please wish us the best! I promise to work to the best of my extending little 14 year old brain. =] I like Starbucks and sugar. ^^ Along with Rika, we are both currently working on the process of updating the website you're on right now! I also coordinate the team emails and am a global moderator on the forums. I plan to join the Electrical pit crew and become a full time member of the Electrical team as I missed the opportunity! About: Theo's going into his 3rd year of FRC this year and has been a leader since his first. He was part of FLL for two years beforehand, and was how he found out about Rolling Thunder.

 

 

Rika Lee- Senior, 4th Year, Scribe and Subteam Coordinator

Blurb: Hi Everyone! My name is Rika and this is my fourth (and sadly, final) year on the team as a student! I was dragged to a team meeting in October of my freshman year by a friend, and have been addicted ever since. I've been doing scouting for 2-3 years now, and despite that, this is my first year on leadership, so please be patient with me! ^ - ^
